Had a great 3 day weekend for my best friends birthday. Cynthia and Kevin are terrific hosts who really made our stay special. Cynthia’s passion for feeding people comes through in every meal, from breakfast each morning to the personalized charcuterie board for our game night. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The location is so handy to walk to many shops, bar/restaurants and events. We had a Jazz Festival less than a block away!

A beautiful B&B with lovely decor. But what makes it truly special are the hosts, Cynthia and Kevin. Cynthia is a very, very gifted cook! The breakfasts alone would be worth staying here. This is very near (easy walking distance) the Amtrak station. We will definitely be coming back.

What a charming Bed and Breakfast! Very comfortable accommodations. Expertly prepared, delicious foods with great presentations and interesting flavors. Cynthia is a five star chef!
I had a hectic schedule, during my 5 night stay, and yet every effort was made to meet that schedule and make my stay enjoyable. Cynthia and Kevin are warm and generous hosts! I found two new friends!

My husband and I stayed here last night and it was our first experience at a bed and breakfast. The location was easy to find and it was within walking distance of downtown (also lots of parking if you don’t want to walk). We were greeted by Cynthia and Kevin and they took us on a tour of the house as well as some history from the house. We then were taken to our room which was the King bedroom and it was incredible. The bed was so comfortable and everything was amazing. There was a coffee and tea station as well as a variety of drinks in the mini fridge by the room that was very convenient. Didn’t think it could get much better…Until breakfast… I am a VERY picky eater so I was a little nervous and I can with 100% certainty say that it was the best breakfast I have ever had. Cynthia is an outstanding cook and everything was incredible. We cannot recommend this location enough and we plan on making this beautiful location a frequent get away for the two of us.

My wife and I stayed here overnight for my her birthday. Kevin and Cynthia are such cool people. Cynthia is an AMAZING chef and makes a great breakfast. Kevin has some great stories and very witty jokes. The house was like being in a movie. What I pictured an Air B and B to be. It is so close to down town Lees Summit. Lees Summit has so much to go experience and when we were there, they had an Art Walk going on.

Four of us spent a wonderful weekend at The Historic Browning. Beautiful home, wonderful accommodations, warm hospitality, and a great location in Lee’s Summit. Two of us had never stayed at a B&B before and Cynthia and Kevin set the bar so high, no one may be able to ever compare to them! We all did agree that they may need to change part of the title though – from Bed and Breakfast to BREAKFAST and bed. Cynthia’s culinary arts skills were superb and we will be talking about her breakfasts and her Peanut Butter Pie for years!!

Beautiful setting in an 1800’s residence in Lees Summit, Missouri. Food, hospitality, and ambience are second to none. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Browning B/B to anyone traveling to the Lees Summit area!

Phenomenal B&B experience. Cynthia is a gracious and welcoming host. The location is PERFECT-walking distance of Lee’s Summits cute downtown. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the space was pristine/clean. The breakfast was delicious-Quiche, crepes, bacon, and more! The decor is adorable and cozy. Highly recommend and will be back!

Truly such an awesome experience! I stayed here the night before my wedding with all of my bridesmaids and got ready in the sun room! Cynthia was so accommodating, kind, and eager to help with anything we needed. The rooms were clean and relaxing, the food was absolutely delicious and all around it was an amazing way to start my wedding day. If you have the opportunity to stay here, I would highly recommend it!

This is a lovely B&B! It is a beautiful home with lovely decor. But what makes it truly special are the hosts, Cynthia and Kevin. Cynthia is a very, very gifted cook! We arrived on the train & walked the 2 blocks to their home & then did a day of walking around Lee’s Summit sightseeing & took the train back. A very nice short getaway. We will be back.

We had an excellent experience and night at the Browning Inn. The innkeeper went above and beyond making our stay special. The breakfast was delish it included an egg scramble, yogurt parfait, fresh fruit, pumpkin donuts, and a lovely coffee/tea bar. I would highly recommend this bed & breakfast. It was such a treat for my husband & I to have a night away and not have to travel far, we live in Lee’s Summit! Also the location is awesome you can walk to restaurants, shops & bars!

The Browning Inn is such a treasure in Lee’s Summit! I celebrated NYE and my 60th birthday there with several girlfriends and we all wanted to move in! The rooms were so well appointed, the beds comfortable and everything we needed was on hand. Very smooth and easy process from booking to check-in and check-out. I’m looking for an excuse to stay again.

We stayed two nights during the Lees Summit Downtown Days. We had a booth there. The location was perfect and the home was beautiful. Cynthia and Kevin went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! Will definitely stay again next year. Cynthia’s cooking is better than ANY gourmet restaurant!
